hello

I am Julia, lover of wild places and wild flowers, seaside dweller, coffee maker and photographer.

Photography has been a constant through my life. Since I was a child I have enjoyed rifling through boxes of old black and white prints or leafing through the pages of family photo albums. Moments of time captured in stills is something I think I will always be fascinated by. Continuing the narrative of moments is my passion.

I live on the Sussex coast and am endlessly inspired by our wild landscapes and the plants that adapt to the challenges of clifftops or windswept coastal gardens. Photographing wildflowers on the South Downs is a long term personal project I have been working on for the past eight years, following an obsession with predominantly local coastal flora.

Although I am happiest photographing outdoors, I also love to capture interiors and styled vignettes and have worked with many clients on images for both websites and print.

In spare moments I also own and run a little coffee van, her name is Mae and you can find her here.
